FillSmart ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by the developer of FillSmart, based in Australia. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and your choices. FillSmart helps you find fuel and EV-charging prices and plan trips in Australia.
With your permission, the app accesses your device location while you are using it to show nearby fuel/charging stations and calculate distances and routes. Location is used to fetch results and is not stored on our servers against your identity. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings; some features will be limited and you can search by suburb instead.
Vehicles you add, saved trips and preferences are stored locally on your device (and in the device keychain for the anonymous session). We do not upload this profile to a personal account.
To call our backend securely and apply rate limits, the app creates an anonymous session (a random identifier). It is not linked to your identity and is reset when you choose "Delete my data".
If enabled, we collect anonymous analytics (which screens/features are used) via Google Firebase Analytics, and crash/error diagnostics via Sentry. This data is not used for advertising and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. You can turn analytics off in Settings → Privacy & data.
Fuel and charging prices come from third-party and government sources (NSW FuelCheck, the Victorian Government / Service Victoria, WA FuelWatch, Open Charge Map and others). Prices are indicative and may be out of date (Victorian prices are up to 24 hours delayed by design). Always confirm the price at the station. We are not liable for pricing differences.
We use: Supabase (backend/database), Google Firebase (App Check, Analytics), Sentry (crash reporting), Geoapify (geocoding/routing) and CARTO (map tiles). These providers may process data (including device/IP data inherent to any internet request) on servers that may be located outside Australia, including the United States and the European Union. Each provider handles data under its own terms.
FillSmart is rated for general audiences and is not directed at children.
